Terms of Use

1. What the app is

The app is a self-management tool that shields apps you choose, for a period you choose, to help you focus. It is not a bank and provides no financial service — no deposits, transfers, investments, or money of any kind. Words like “deposit,” “interest,” and “balance” are in-app metaphors for focused time.

2. Accounts

An anonymous account is created for you the first time you open the app, with no sign-in required. If you want your records to survive a new device, you may optionally sign in with Apple under Record Protection.

You can delete your account and any server-side backup at any time from Menu → Record Protection → Delete Account. Deletion cannot be undone.

3. Dopamine Bank PRO subscription

• PRO is an auto-renewing subscription. Price is shown in the App Store for your region (for example ₩6,900 per month or ₩39,000 per year in Korea), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge occurs within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your App Store account settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Prices may vary by region and exchange rate.

4. In-app purchases

The Emergency Penalty Waiver is a consumable product used up on redemption. Consumed items are not refundable and are not restored when you reinstall the app.

5. Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases follow Apple's policies and process. Notique Inc. does not receive or refund payments directly.

6. Your responsibilities

• The nickname you enter is shown to other users. Do not impersonate others or use abusive or unlawful language.
• Do not reverse engineer the app or use it in a way designed to circumvent its shielding.

7. Limits of the shielding feature

Shielding relies on Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks and ends if you revoke permission in iPhone Settings or delete the app. Emergency Unlock in the Menu can also end every active shield at any time. The app does not guarantee complete blocking or any particular study or productivity outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Notique Inc. is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
